- 1.Lay the gauge down like the picture below instead of standing the gauge up to get a more steady accuracy. In order to scan the gauge more comprehensively ,use the 6 milliliter markers and paste some markers in the ground around the gauge.
- 2. You can spray some powder on the gauge if the gauge is too reflective, and the side faces of the gauge are usually mirror,so we suggest you should spray some powder (just a very thin layer in the surface to make it less reflective, too much powder will affect the accuracy).
- 3. Need to calibrate before scanning.Preheat the scanner to about 44 ℃ before calibration, and try to keep the temperature in about 44 ℃ while scanning.
- 4. Scan the global makers first, then switch to scan point cloud, and make sure the makers in the centre of the camera window.
- 5. Turn the brightness down to the lowest(spray the powder if can’t scan the data, also a thin layer)
- 6. Control the distance between the scanner and the gauge, try to make the distance longer on the premise of keeping the distance indicator light green.
- 7. Try not to scan at a too large angle(try to put the scanner vertically to the gauge).
- 8. Try to choose the clean and smooth part of the data for measurement.
